Paris, 18 April 2017 – RED 2 GREEN (member of Grant Thornton) and ALTANA advised the Japanese group SEIKOH GIKEN, in the context of strengthening its stake in DATA PIXEL.

Created by Loïc Cherel and based in Annecy since 2001, DATA PIXEL designs and produces metrology equipment for the optical communications industry. The company generates over 90% of its sales internationally, particularly in North America, Europe, India, Japan and China.

SEIKOH GIKEN, listed on the JASDAQ in Tokyo and specialized in the supply of precision technology products, had already acquired 49% of the share capital of DATA PIXEL in 2012. With this new acquisition, SEIKOH GIKEN increased its stake to 97% of the capital of DATA PIXEL, confirming the strategic interest of its initial equity investment.

SEIKOH GIKEN intends to reinforce the technological and commercial synergies existing between the two companies, with SEIKOH GIKEN already being distributor of DATA PIXEL’s products in Japan and China.
